Mound Westonka High School has once again been named one of "America's Most Challenging High Schools" by the Washington Post. 
 

Powerful, intense, emotional, impactful, incredible. Those words have been used to describe the April 17 mock crash at Mound Westonka High School.

Grandview Middle School hosted the West Metro Middle Level Solo and Ensemble Festival on April 18.  Westonka students performed a total of 25 solos, duets and trios.

The Mound Westonka High School Jazz Band will be performing at Famous Dave's BBQ at 3001 Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis on Sunday, April 26, at 6 p.m.

The White Hawks boys tennis team faced rival Orono April 14 and suffered a tough 7-0 loss. The team rallied against New Prague April 16, coming away with a sweeping 7-0 victory.

The White Hawks Track & Field team placed several athletes at an April 14 meet at Orono High School. Sophomore Jordan Clement took first place in the shot put event.

On April 13, a committee made up of Westonka School Board members and Westonka School District staff selected the first three recipients of the district's annual community award: Sharon Thaler, Bill LaTour and Randy Lee. The purpose of this award is to recognize exceptional service to Westonka Schools.
